Lafayette – Funeral Services for Mr. Derek J. Kelehan, Sr., 51, will be held at 2:00PM on Monday, May 14, 2012 at David Funeral Home Chapel of Lafayette. Visitation will be at David funeral Home of Lafayette on Monday, May 14, 2012 from 9:00AM until the time of the services. A private interment will be held at a later date.

A native and resident of Lafayette Mr. Kelehan died at 4:55PM on Friday, May 11, 2012 at his residence. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Leanne Dedmon Kelehan of Lafayette; three daughters, Kisha Bruner and her husband Jesse of Magnolia, TX, Amanda Kelehan of Lafayette, and Shannon Kelehan of Lafayette; his mother, Lydia Oubre Kelehan of Broussard; five brothers, Troy Kelehan of Coteau, Kevin Kelehan of Broussard, Don Kelehan, Jr. of Lafayette, Shane Kelehan of Marshall, TX, and Shaun Kelehan of Marshall, TX; a sister, Angel Kelehan of Magnolia, TX; and two grandchildren, Devon Valdiviez and Payton Bruner.

He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Kelehan, Sr.; and a son, Derek J. Kelehan, Jr.

Serving as pallbearers will be Josh Leleux, Nicholas Kelehan, Lance Kelehan, Chris Kelehan, Hayden Kelehan, Zachary Kelehan, Travis Kelehan, Justin Kelehan, Chandler Kelehan, and Andrew Kelehan.
