Jessie Adam Miller

Abbeville – Funeral Services for Mr. Jessie Adam Miller, 68, will be held at 11:00AM on Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at David Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Layne Payne officiating. Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Abbeville on Tuesday, May 8, 2012 from 12:00PM until 9:00PM. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at 8:00AM until the time of service. Interment will follow at St. Paul Cemetery.

A native of Forked Island, and a resident of Abbeville, Mr. Miller passed away at 10:53PM on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at a local health care facility. Jessie was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who will be dearly missed. Mr. Miller had been employed as a truck driver in the oilfield.

He is survived by his wife, Julie Bruno Miller of St. Martinville; daughters, Della Hardy and her husband Pupie of Abbeville and Vicky Sequra of Abbeville; sons, Roger Miller and his wife Iris of Abbeville and Timothy Miller and his special friend Troy of Houston; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Antoine and Della Rung Miller; brothers, Theodore Miller, Avery Touchet, Sr., Sevan Miller, Edvar Miller, Joe Miller, and Lloyd Miller; and sisters, Evia Guidry, Elaina Cashi, Lorraine Breaux, and Estell Istre.

Serving as pallbearers will be Roger Miller, Timothy Miller, Brandon Miller, Christopher Hardy, Cory Hardy, Blake Baudoin, and Joshua Miller.

The family would like to thank the staff of Maison du Monde Living Center for the kindness and care they gave Jessie, especially the Memory Care Unit Staff.
