New Iberia – Funeral services will be conducted for Mrs. Wilton Latiolais, the former Ruby Bourque, 82, on Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at 10:30 AM in the David Funeral Home Chapel with Father Charles Langlois officiating. The first reading will be read by Muriel Latiolais Person, the response will be read by Jane Louviere Hipp and the third reading will be read by Randi Marie Latiolais. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Monday, May 7, 2012, beginning at 1:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a rosary being prayed in the funeral home at 7:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Tuesday, May 8, 2012, at 8:00 AM until services.

A native of Catahoula and a resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Latiolais died on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at 7:47 AM in a Jeanerette nursing center. She retired from the Iberia Parish School Board as a Cafateria Worker. She loved to cook and especially baking and drinking coffee with family and friends.

She is survived by her sons, Kurt James Latiolais and his wife Lettie and Todd Luke Latiolais and his companion Sheryl Bouy all of New Iberia; her brothers, Ashton Bourque of Loreauville, Allen Bourque and his wife Patsy of Lafayette and Roland Bourque of Catahoula; her sister, Therese B. Broussard and her husband Cleveland of New Iberia; her grandchildren, Muriel Latiolais Person and her husband Lt. Bryson Person of Coronado, CA, Thomas Wilton Latiolais and his wife Ashley, Luke Wilton Latiolais and Randi Marie Latiolias all of New Iberia and her great grandchildren, Mali Elizabeth Latiolais of New Iberia, Cecelia Jolie Person of Coronado, CA and Kurt Thomas Latiolais of New Iberia.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilton “Possum” Latiolais, her parents, Eymar Luke and Cecilia Theriot Bourque; her sisters, Rita B. Louviere and her husband Francis and Irene B. Courville and her husband Otis; her brother, Les Bourque; her sister-in-laws, Willa Mae L. Bourque and Earline L. Bourque and her grandsons, Kurt James Latiolais, II and Martin Paul Latiolais.

Serving as pallbearers are her sons, Kurt James Latiolais and Todd Luke Latiolais, her grandchildren, Thomas Wilton Latiolais and Luke Wilton Latiolais, her nephew and godson, Eric James Louviere and serving posthumously will be her grandson, Kurt James Latiolais, II.

Serving as honorary pallbearers are her brothers, Ashton Bourque, Allen Bourque and Roland Bourque; her brother-in-laws, Cleveland Broussard and Joel Latiolais; her nephews, Sim Courville and Murphy LeBlanc and her grandson-in-law, Lt. Bryson Person.
