New Iberia – Funeral Services will be conducted for Donald Keith Burk, Age 82, at 10:00AM on Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at David Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill Phillips officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Family Mausoleum. Visitation will be Monday, April 30, 2012 from 4:30PM until 9:00PM and Tuesday, May 1, 2012 from 8:00AM until service time.

A native of Alexander, Kansas and longtime resident of New Iberia, Mr. Burk died on Thursday, April 26, 2012 at 8:55PM at his residence in New Iberia.

Mr. Burk enjoyed woodworking and restoring automobiles. He built his own motor home. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force having served in the Korean Conflict.

Survivors include his wife, Norma Bailey Davis Burk; children, Billy Davis and wife Jan, Donna Guillory and husband John, Charles E. Davis and wife Belinda and Catherine Davis Defelice and husband Jimmy all of New Iberia; one brother, Cecil Edward Burk of Rush Center, Kansas; grandchildren, Tracey Defelice Guilbeaux, Shelley Defelice, James Defelice II, Dustin Ray Charles Davis, Scott Michael Davis, Jennifer Kaye Swett, Kristi Lynn Derouen and Lauren Ashley Guillory; great grandchildren, Kyle James Guilbeaux, Brayton Joseph Eskine, Carroll Ray Guilbeaux, Alexis Paige Defelice, Kelby Rae Defelice, Blexx Athan Davis, Gavriella Marie Davis, Caleb Scott Davis, Lily Michelle Davis and Michael Burk Davis and a great great grandchild, Charlie Jane Guilbeaux.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell Edmond and Mae Hulda Link Burk; four brothers, John, Virgil, Russell and Vernon Burk and five sisters, Loretta Lewis, Lillie Kline, Virginia Burk, Audry Burton and Bonnie Thompson.

Pallbearers will be Scott Davis, James Defelice II, Dustin Ray Davis, Carroll Wayne Guilbeaux, Kyle Guilbeaux, Brian Swett, Carroll Ray Guilbeaux, Brayton Joseph Eskine and Caleb Scott Davis.
