Loreauville – A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Lillie Mae “Mem” Tauzin Romero, 86, will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Buddy Breaux officiating. Interment will be held at St. Joseph Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Loreauville on Friday, April 27, 2012 from 3:00PM until 9:00PM with a recitation of the Rosary at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume on Saturday, April 28, 2012 from 8:00AM until time of services.

A native of Iberia Parish and resident of Loreauville, Mem passed away at 8:52PM on Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at her son’s residence. She enjoyed watching television and would give M&Ms to everyone. She loved to spoil and care for her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her son, Glenn Romero and wife Betty of Loreauville; stepson, Hubert Romero and wife Ira Jane of Youngsville; six grandchildren, Glenn Romero, Jr. and fiancée Sandra Barrera, Mayo Romero and wife Michelle, Angela Westcott and husband Gary, Cody Romero, Clint Simon and wife Julie and James “Chip” Romero and wife Ali; six great-grandchildren, Landon Westcott, Broc Romero, Kaitlyn Romero, Marlie Rae Westcott, Beau Romero and Coy Romero; and one sister, Nita Romero of Jeanerette.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Mayo Romero; her parents, Louis and Arelia Boudreaux Tauzin; seven brothers, Andrew Tauzin, Tony Tauzin, Moise Tauzin, Clarence Tauzin, Francis Tauzin, Louis Tauzin and Percy Tauzin; and one sister, Rita Emonet.

The family would like to thank Elizabeth Gondron, Nelda Albert, Gwen Tauzin and Jolyn Segura for the loving care they provided to Mem.
