Jeanerette – A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Larry Arton, the former Judy LeBlanc, 64, will be held at 11:00AM on Monday, March 26, 2012 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Father Jody Simoneaux officiating. Interment will follow in St. John Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Jeanerette on Sunday, March 25, 2012 from 4:00PM until 9:00PM with a recitation of the Rosary at 6:30PM and will resume on Monday, March 26, 2012 from 8:00AM until service time.

A native and resident of Jeanerette, Mrs. Arton passed away at 9:15AM on Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at her residence. She was a member of the VFW Ladies’ Auxiliary and sold Avon for many years. She was an avid reader and enjoyed cooking for her family, but most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Larry Arton of Jeanerette; her son, Art Arton and wife Beth of New Iberia; her daughter, Yvonne Jacobs and husband George of Springfield, Colorado; three grandchildren, Noah Arton, Randolph Jacobs and Ava Arton; her sister, Marie Jane Courville of Henderson; brothers-in-law, Terry Arton and his wife Loujuanna of Jeanerette and Robert Arton and wife Terrance of Broussard; and four nephews, Tommy LeBlanc, Richard LeBlanc, Dean LeBlanc and Steven Arton.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Romeal and Odiel Albert LeBlanc; her brother, Edgar LeBlanc; nephew, Stephen LeBlanc; and her beloved mother-in-law, Rita Arton.
